Honeymoon: Banyan Tree, Seychelles Fishing Trip

We decided to press our luck with a full day fishing trip during our time in the Seychelles. We wanted to follow-up our nice catch of the huge sailfish from the Maldives so we went big game fishing on the 50 foot Sea Fever boat. The day was perfect for fishing.



We got on the boat and headed up to the top deck for the sail out about 90 minutes to the fishing area.




It didnt take long. Once we got out to the trolling area, the fish started practically jumping into the boat. We had 7 lines in the water at once and for the first few hours, it seemed that 5 of the 7 lines were always on with a fish. Amy and Anthony had their workout for the day.




After the big fight, Amy pulled a big wahoo into the boat. This guy was a fighter.




The first mate doubled as a chef. He cooked us up a great meal of chicken, rice, veggies and some of the bonito fish he had been catching all day. It smelled and tasted delicious.



And you know what happens after you have a big meal - you sleep....



Here's Anthony reeling in a Bonito - one of the fish we kept catching. This is the largest one of the day and left Anthony's forearm tight for the remainder of the day.



After putting all the fish out on the dock, it was clear just how lucky we were - there were over 40 fish from our efforts.

All in all, the Sea Fever was busy this day and we had a great time out on the water. No sailfish to speak of, but sometimes volume is better than the big bite.
