We set out 5 lines and started trolling around. The first few bites were very small tuna – not our idea of big game fishing.

Then, a big bite on the largest line hit. The captain yelled out SAILFISH. Anthony saw a fish jump in the distance. This was big game fishing. Amy graciously allowed Anthony to hop in the fighting chair to reel the fish in. The fish was taking a huge amount of line out – Anthony couldn’t reel it in at all for the first few minutes.
Then the fish got tired and Anthony got to work, reeling and reeling and reeling. The fish would occasionally go on a run and take out more line, or would jump in the distance. Anthony worked his forearms and brought the fish beside the boat. It was HUGE.
Clearly the biggest fish Anthony has ever caught (and Amy thought the prettiest). So big that we couldn’t pick it up for the traditional picture.

It was a beautiful shade of blue

We got one more bite – but unfortunately, back to the small stuff.

All in all, though, it was a terrific day.

After getting back to the beach, we took the “after the Maldives picture” to judge our tanning progression. Can you say ebony and ivory…

That night, we headed to Reethi restaurant for our final dinner on the island.

One last night time shot of Amy in front of her hut over the water.
