Then, we wanted to head south to go to the Dingle Pennisula which was supposed to be beautiful. Standing in our way was Connors Pass. Remember, we were just getting the hang of driving on the wrong side of the road, when:
Proceeding slowly, we climbed the hill, only to see the road get narrower and narrower. We were now a two way road on the side of a mountain but it was only wide enough for a small sports car. Interesting....(look carefully in the first picture and you can see the road we had to drive on)
To catch our breath and let the heart rate come down, we found a place to pull to the side of the road and snap some pictures. Yes, Swess was yelling "Im the king of the world!"
When we got to the top of the mountain, Swess was went a little mad from the drive and was heard to chat "Here little sheepy, here little sheepy"
We continued (on a more civilized road) to Dingle Pennisula which had great views, although it was a little cloudy.
This day was a lot of driving (we covered over 500 kilometers). It took a little longer than we expected, largely because of Anthony being a cautious driver - oh, and the cows on the road.....
We rolled into Old Head golf course in the pitch dark. More stories to follow.
