Galway, Ireland - September 28

After a night out in Dublin, we headed in a rental car to Galway. Needless to say, since the drivers side of the car is opposite what we're used to and the driving is on the other side of the road, Anthony's blood pressure was raised for the duration of the trip. Along the drive to Galway, we encountered some beautiful scenary - rolling mountains, green fields everywhere and a fair amount of wildlife. The wildlife really didnt care much about being on the roads, the grass, near cars, etc.

Once we checked into the G Hotel in Galway, we headed north for a sceanic drive to Clifden.
Swess had heard about great views from the Sky Road. The name should have tipped us off about the adventure we were taking. As a new driver on the right side of the car and left side of the road, Anthony was a little afraid of taking the training wheels off and driving near cliffs and on skinny roads. We're glad we did, because the views from atop of the Sky Road were great. After leaving the Sky Road behind, we headed back to Galway. We went to dinner at Kirwans Lane and after Swess was done playing with the mouth of the full fish (with head and tail and all) that they brought him, we were ready to find an authentic Irish pub. It being Sunday night, we were worried about finding a fun place. Alas, the Irish know no difference between the days of the week so the Guinness was flowing, and music was blaring. Swess was determined to find one thing while in Ireland and he had been talking about it all trip. He wanted to find an older, stereotypical Irish man in a bar and pull a bar stool next to him and talk. Success...... And, against my better judgment, based on the encouragement of many of the readers of this blog requesting more movies after the first series entitled, "Amy in Dirndl Dancing", click on the below for a movie of the pub in Galway. Note that there is a woman dancing traditional Irish dance in the background but the video is dark. Please also note that you should ignore the commentary by the video man as he had clearly had a few too many guinness that day!
