Anthony kept Amy's gifts a secret from her and simply said that she had to be available from 2-9pm. Amy doesnt do well with surprises (although she secretly loves them) so she kept trying to figure out what Anthony had planned. The first prong came at about noon - a dozen red roses.

We left the apartment at around 2 and headed towards 138 West 48th street. As we pulled up Amy say the sign for the second prong of the surprise - "A View From the Bridge". It was an Arthur Miller play with stars Scarlett Johnasen and Liev Schriber. The play was our first non-musical. We loved it. It was very entertaining. We also had a nice celebrity sighting as Robert Downey Jr. was in the audience.

After the theatre we headed to the third and final prong of Vday - dinner. We went up to Baronada's, a nice Italian restaurant on the upper east side of Manhattan. The food was quite good. Amy seemed happy.....

They gave us complimentary grappa and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Yum!

After dinner we headed to brooklyn to celebrate Amy's friend Tami's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAMI!). An action packed first Valentine's Day for the Civale clan.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!
