Over MLK weekend, Amy's sister and her family came down to the big city. For the excitement of the two boys, they took the train. Amy and Anthony met them at Penn Station fully equipped with a car and some car seats for the boys. They were very excited to see the big sites on the way to the apartment. We saw taxis, buses and police cars. Amazing!
Apparently, it was all too much for Luke! This was the inaugural sleep in our pack and play. Anthony had his first fun experience in putting baby things together - lets hope he gets the hang of it over time.
After Luke awoke, the gang decided to take advantage of the unusually warm weather and tour Central Park and hit the zoo! We took a nice stroll. Teddy was excited to see the horse and buggy in Central Park.

and finally the zoo! Everyone was very excited!
We saw some monkeys, the new snow leopards....
and the most rare of ALL wild animals....and Teddy's favorite - a john deere tractor. Even Kevin couldn't contain his excitement, screeching "look, look, its amazing!"
Then we headed to the big surprise. Auntie Amy heard a rumor that Teddy LOVED zamboni's, so she looked up when the zamboni would be coming out at Rockefeller Center. We were able to kill two birds with one stone- visit a must see tourist attraction and keep Teddy entertained! On the walk, Teddy tried one of New York's most mysterious things - a street bagel (aka pretzel). He wanted more than one.
And speaking of tourist attractions, we of course had to go to the biggest toy store! We even got Teddy a little gift (Amy has a feeling she will be dealing with more of these types of toys in no time at all!)
Teddy chose the police helicopter and couldn't wait to get home and set it up and begin the playing.
The next day the weather was not so great so kept it local and went to the Museum of Natural History. Despite the weather, we were able to walk the short ten blocks to the museum. Good thing we did because otherwise we wouldn't have seen some very exciting things such as...a line up of NYC yellow cabs. Teddy had seen enough - no need to even go into the museum.
Inside the museum there was so much to see.
Teddy ran to every computer terminal throughout the entire museum. Cool...buttons...screens.
Forget the Dinosaurs - look at these yellow things with four wheels down the street - aren't they awesome!
Luke preferred some homegrown talent.
We were exhausted after the museum, so we left for the apartment for R&R. Teddy found the coziest spot in the house....
Luke found some of Auntie Amy's clothes.
The final day was a good one. The Children's Museum of New York is right around the corner and we decided this would be the perfect time to explore it. On the second floor we found a Dora and Diego exhibit!
But the best part was the top floor. It was all trucks and buses and fireman pole! There were even games for Luke to play. Teddy had to strip off his sweater as all these things to drive were just too much for him - he was red and sweating.
It was all a little much for Amy though (get ready, Amy....)
Sadly, it was time to leave. Yet, no trip to NYC is complete with out a celebrity sighting. If you look in the distance - you can see Matt Dillon! Leanne would have been proud!
We had a great weekend with the Dolan's and can't wait for them to come back! Baby Civale is looking forward to spending time with his big cousins!

I love the sweaty picture of Teddy on the bus! Luke definitely has a thing for hats, just like Auntie Amy.
doesn't that pic remind you of that old book we had? I can't remember the name of it...
oh, the one about trying to find out who the picture of the baby was and it's really her.
