So, what does a die hard Yankees fan do the first weekend after his team wins the World Series? He goes with his wife to a Fleetwood Mac concert on Friday night at Wembley Arena and a Ballet on Saturday night at the Royal Opera House. As unmanly as those two things sound, Anthony actually enjoyed the events.
Friday night, we headed out to Wembley Arena (not where the Pats played but a smaller venue right next door) for the Fleetwood Mac concert. Amy is a huge fan so she has been looking forward to the concert for a while. Anthony knew a lot of their songs so was looking forward to it as well. The show did not disappoint (except for the annoying couple standing behind us loudly whistling the whole time).

The stage

Pregnant mama holding her belly thinking "Our boy is going to be so cultured by the time he is born - this concert and the ballet tomorrow. What good parents we already are!"

At the end of the show (when our eardrums were gone)

One of our favorite songs by Fleetwood Mac was Landslide. We used the camera for a boot-legged version.
Saturday night we headed to the Royal Opera House to watch the ballet of Sleeping Beauty. This was the first ballet that Anthony went to so he didnt know what to expect. We had dinner at the Opera house at 5:30pm and then headed to our seats for the show at 7pm. Amy was looking very nice (and as she liked to remind Anthony, she was wearing the same outfit that she wore at Mike and Julie's engagement party in NY City when Anthony first really "noticed" Amy).

Here's the stage.

And the smiling Amy and Anthony

The ballet began rather slowly and Anthony thought he was in for a long night after the first 20 minutes (had to fight off falling to sleep). Luckily, every 25 minutes or so there were "intervals" which were breaks between acts that allowed us to get up, walk around and get some drinks (and later some yummy dessert). As the acts progressed, we both began to like the show. Its an unbelievable physical feat above all else what the men and woman do - jumping in the air, standing on their toes. The only complaint at the end of the night - Anthony could have gone without the men's tights.....
And since the airwaves, phones, emails and blog comments have been sparse from the Martin family since the Yankee victory this past week, we will end each blog with a reminder of the Yankee win.

Hey, they were sparse before as well.
I wasn't going to mention the Giants but since you want to play dirty...
Weren't they 5-0 at one point? They are playing so bad they may even manage to lose next week too!
Well said. I am a little worried about the G-Men this weekend. You never know.....
