Go Pats - October 25th

The New England Patriots were visiting London on October 25th for their game against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Amy's brother, Doug, and his friends Mike and Fred made the trip over. Amy's father and co-worker were also in town for work so Hotel Civale had to hang up the "No Vacancy" sign. The fridge was full of Guinness in anticipation of our guests. We went to a few bars, had some indian food (which is great in London) and had a blast.

On Sunday, the whole crew headed to Wembley Stadium. This was our first time and it didnt disappoint. Amy was all decked out in her Pats uniform. Anthony didnt wear his Giants uniform, although he did think about it.

The crowd was really into the game. Tampa Bay was technically the "home" team so they handed out tampa bay flags that the brits were waving all game long. This was the big version of it.

Amy's father had his pats gear on too.

All smiles.

The pats trounced the bucs as expected. We were pleasantly surprised by how energetic the crowd was. The wave even made it around the stadium a couple of times in a row.

We're glad we could see a Pats victory and see how excited the Brits were to have the NFL in town. Anthony's friend, Mike Stokes, would have been proud (Mike worked with NFL International for many years....this game was def a success locally!).
