It was time. The stars were in alignment. The Civale crew had to see the new yankee stadium and bring some of its good luck to the yanks. Anthony's father, Anthony, Amy, Mike, Julie, Vanessa and Matt all descended on the stadium on Friday. Anthony's father was the first to show up at the stadium (you may read that to mean the first of our group - but thats not right, he was the literally the first fan let in the stadium). The weather was bad and the group debated not going - but Anthony's father led the excitement to go and we all followed. We took the subway.

The seats were great and on the third base side.

A nice shot - except, is that Julie eating her hand?

A little rain delay never hurt anyone! Right before this, a foul ball came flying over towards our seats. It seemed like it was on a radar to land directly in our seats. Anthony and his father stood up (while Amy cringed in fear), throwing hot dogs, french fries, beers aside to get ready to catch their first foul ball ever. The ball came whizzing down - Anthony put out his left hand to try to catch it. The ball bounced out of Anthony's hand and went 3 rows behind us. DARN! That was the single best chance to get a foul ball in Anthony's life. Maybe next time!

The yanks were down by 5+ runs so there was only one thing that could be done - RALLY CAPS!

And wouldn't you know it - the rally caps worked. The yankees pulled ahead to win the game by scoring in the 8th and 9th inning. Much to the joy of Anthony's father and brother Mike.

GO YANKEES! In case there are not enough pictures above, we give you this video of the euphoria. Enjoy.
