Leanne and Logan's Visit (Dec 4-11) - Day 1 & 2

We were eagerly awaiting our final visitors to London before moving back to NYC - Amy's sister Leanne and her son Logan. We had a fun filled week planned together. Both Amy and Anthony went out to Heathrow on Friday night to pick up their visitors. We hit traffic along the way so were a little late. We were hoping to catch Leanne and Logan coming through immigrations and be able to video tape Logan running towards us with glee. Instead, we got to the immigration area to hear Leanne yell "Amy". She was sitting on a seat with Logan looking very worried - they had no ability to call us or get in touch with anyone so were a little worried we had forgotten them. Whoops! Video of their arrival will be posted later and for a special treat, we'll also post some commentary from Logan when he realized the driver was on the wrong side of the car!

We ate some of Amy's good home cooking and then went to sleep early on Friday night. Saturday was a full day planned. Logan was awoken by Anthony - he checked the clock, it said 10am, he checked outside and it was sunny out and he looked at Anthony and said "Anthony, its time to get up, but I dont feel like I sleep very much." Welcome to jet lag!

The day started out with Logan, in his Superman jammies, acting like a bear.

Watch out Auntie Amy!

Pose for the camera......

We then discovered the automatic timer on the camera (notice the symmetry).

After some breakfast, it was time to start our day. First, we went outside and found a traditional London phone booth. Photo opportunity!

Next, we jumped in a taxi to head to the Tower of London. Logan liked the taxis (even though everyone drove on the wrong side of the street).

First stop was the Tower of London which had a lot of cool stuff for Logan to see - knights, horses, castles and the crown jewels (this was more Auntie Amy's and Leanne's interest).

We heard Teddy likes Zambonis so we had to take a picture of this one on the ice skating rink right near the entrance to the Tower.

More Tower pictures.

Logan liked all the cannons and knights around the Tower.

After some lunch at the Tower, we were going to take a boat ride to Big Ben. Excitement for our boat ride was high.

Until the jet lag hit, and Logan was down for the count.

Until, we told him that we were going to a huge toy store (the oldest and most famous in London) Hamleys!

After a full day, we enjoyed some lovely local cuisine (Dominoes) and called it a night. The next day (Sunday) started like the previous day - some fun with the camera.

First item on the agenda - GET ON A DOUBLE DECKER BUS. Logan was looking forward to this all trip.

Post the bus ride.

We got off the bus and went to Madame Tussaud's wax museum. The line took an hour (which Logan was not happy about). Come to think of it, Amy did not enjoy it that much either.

At long last, after an hour of waiting on line, we made it into the museum. And it was worth the wait!

Justin Timberlake was there.

Amy's hero, President George W. Bush was in the house.

Brittany Spears looked hot!

It was nice to reconnect with David and Victoria (Posh Spice) Beckham after Amy and Anthony spent their honeymoon with the Beckhams on North Island.

Mr. John Travolta everyone! Amy's favorite actor.

Logan was practicing his putting with Tiger Woods.

Even the Queen of England was in attendance.

Anthony's favorite President of all time, President Ronald Reagan.

And our current Commander and Chief.

Luckily for us, there was a ride in the museum where we got into tiny little London taxis. Logan loved this part.

After a long day of museums, buses and sight seeing there was only one thing that could happen - a nap in the taxi.
