Saturday morning, the first time in Spain - Amy had one thing on her mind to soak in the local culture....
We started the tour of the city in Park Guell which was designed by the clearly slightly deranged Gaudi. Great views of Barcelona and cool cave like areas as well.
We then headed to the La Sagrada Familia church, which is still under construction.
Anthony liked the look of the faces on the statues outside the church.
We then headed to the famous Las Ramblas - a tree lined street with vendors on both sides that is jam packed full of people and leads you from the heart of the city to the water.

On the bridge to get to the complex, Amy fell in love - not with Anthony, but with these puppies.
After lunch, we headed to the two famous buildings/houses that Gaudi designed. They clearly stand out from anything else on the block.
On Sunday, we started the day in the square in front of La Cathedral where the locals congregate every sunday with a band playing old spainish tunes on the steps. The locals dance the sardana which was a very lively fun group dance.
We then headed into the La Cathedral - Anthony can never resist a church!
We walked to the nearby Arc di triomf where there was another street fair.
The last stop on our Barcelona tour was the local park - it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the locals were out in droves taking in the sun.
